Mark Eldore, M.D.
Board Certified in Obstetrics, Gynecology & Infertility | OB/GYN
Dr. Eldore was born in Spokane, Washington. Married 26 years to his high school sweetheart, Dr. Eldore and his wife have four children ranging in age from teenage to early twenties.
Dr. Eldore graduated from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska in 1995. Afterwards, he and his family moved to Temple, Texas to complete his residency training program at Scott and White Hospital until 1999. He spent the next 4 years practicing Ob/Gyn for the United States Air Force at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, Louisiana. His desire to return to Texas brought him to Athens where he planted roots, lived, and has owned and operated Athens Women's & Children's Center for the last 10 years.
Dr. Eldore has also had an increasing interest and involvement in aesthetic treatment. In 2006, he began serving as medical director for a local aesthetics practice, owned by Julie Harrell LE, CLT and implemented Botox and Juvederm. In 2009, Dr. Eldore and Ms. Harrell opened Ageless Image, a medical spa in Athens.
Jaspreet Sidhu, M.D.
Gynecology & Infertility | OB/GYN
Dr. Sidhu is a life-long native of Texas who grew up in Richardson, just outside Dallas. He then attended the University of Texas at Dallas and graduated with summa cum laude honors in Biology & Business Administration in 2001. He spent the following year conducting oncology research and traveling prior to beginning medical school at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio in 2002. After receiving his M.D. in 2006, he left the state to pursue a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at St. John Hospital & Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. Having completed his post-graduate training in 2010, he has now returned to Texas to begin practice at Athens Women's & Children's Center.
Francine F. McCain, M.D.
Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology | OB/GYN
Dr. Francine F. McCain is a board certified OB/GYN who has been practicing since 2007. She graduated cum laude with a bachelors in Biological Anthropology and Anatomy from Duke University before earning her medical degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa in 2003.
After completing her OB/GYN residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, she returned to Florida to continue her career. She has a special interest in minimally invasive solutions to heavy menstrual bleeding and family planning.
In April of 2013, she and her husband of 11 years moved to Athens with their 8 year-old daughter, Allison and their 5 year-old son, Warren. Dr. McCain is excited to be a part of women's health care at Athens Women's & Children's Center in Athens, Texas.
Vandana Char, M.D.
Board Certified in Pediatrics
Dr. Char is a Board Certified Pediatrician. She graduated from the University of West Indies in Jamaica in 1998, after which she completed a rotating internship and practiced as a General Physician until 2001. In 2004, she completed her residency in Pediatrics at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, IL. She gained vast pediatric experience in a hospital setting, as well as a clinical setting when she moved to New Mexico where she practiced as the Head of Outpatient Pediatrics until late 2011.
Dr. Char has been involved in several community and social outreach programs, especially geared to Child Welfare & Women's Self-Improvement. She is now at Athens Women's & Children's Center where she has a busy pediatric practice.
Family Nurse Practitioner | RN, FNP-C
Melissa is a lifelong resident of East Texas who grew up in Palestine. She attended Trinity Valley Community College in Palestine and then continued her studies at the University of Texas at Tyler, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. After graduation, she worked as a Registered Nurse at East Texas Medical Center in Athens for five years on the pediatric and surgical units. While working, she was also attending Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock and graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing degree with Family Nurse Practitioner specialization. Since graduation in 2008, she has been happily employed at Athens Women's and Children's Center.
Family Nurse Practitioner- MSN, FNP-BC
Stephanie was born and raised in East Texas. Knowing she always wanted to pursue a career in Nursing, she attended the University of Texas at Tyler, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She worked as a registered nurse at Trinity Mother Frances in Tyler and Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview while she continued her education at UT Tyler, pursing a Masters of Science in Nursing/ Family Nurse Practitioner degree. While completing her Masters degree, Stephanie found that taking care of pediatric patients was her passion, and she completed almost double the amount of pediatric experience hours that her educational program required.
Stephanie, along with her husband Zack and their 4 year old daughter Mia, are excited to be moving to the Athens area, and Stephanie is very happy to be involved in keeping Athens healthy at Athens Women's & Children's Center.
